About Me

I was born in 1959 into a golfing family in Fife, Scotland (20 minutes from
  St Andrews)

No surprise then that I took up golf.

I learned my golf at Balwearie golf club in Kirkcaldy where I managed
to reduce my handicap to 2 by the time I was 16.

When I left school at 17, I joined the Royal Air Force to follow the other
  love of my life....Music.

I spent 22 years playing the trumpet, french horn and golf all over Europe
including the Falklands, Gibralter, Cyprus, Hong Kong and spent 8 happy
  years living in Germany.

In 2000, I left the RAF and went to work at Sudbrook Moor Golf Club
(see links), where I helped out with the juniors every Saturday morning,
while working in the clubhouse the rest of the week.

I finally got my wish and turned professional in 2004 and moved to Belton
Park Golf Club to work in the Pro shop.

In July 2007, I qualified as a PGA Professional and left Belton Park to
persue the thing I love doing...... helping people enjoy their golf.
